Arrival: a Spain-only trip
Focus: a Spain-only trip. Treat the first connection as a travel tool and confirm the essential services you need are working. Use it first for Madrid, Barcelona and regional trips; trains, metro, maps and booking details. If the phone needs a settings change, adjust one item at a time so you can identify what actually solved the problem.
Preparation: a Spain-only trip
Focus: a Spain-only trip. Finish the phone checks while Wi‑Fi is reliable: confirm eSIM support and carrier unlock, save the QR and essential booking details offline, and install only as the plan instructions allow. This keeps setup work away from the first moments around Madrid, Barcelona and regional trips; trains, metro, maps and booking details.
Real data use: a Spain-only trip
Focus: a Spain-only trip. The most valuable data sessions are usually short and practical. Prioritise Madrid, Barcelona and regional trips; trains, metro, maps and booking details; leave large downloads, app updates and long video sessions for Wi‑Fi when convenient.
Validity and dates: a Spain-only trip
Focus: a Spain-only trip. Count the days you genuinely need mobile data, including arrival and departure when relevant. Check when validity starts, how daily periods are counted and whether the selected dates cover the full route around Madrid, Barcelona and regional trips; trains, metro, maps and booking details.
Final live check: a Spain-only trip
Focus: a Spain-only trip. Editorial guidance can explain the decision, but price, availability, partner networks and activation conditions can change. Before paying, verify the current destination page and make the final choice from the live dates and total shown there.
